ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Le Cerf” evokes the quiet majesty of one of the most symbolic animals of the forest.
Often associated with nobility, strength and renewal, the stag stands here as a guardian of the wilderness. Positioned at the center of a forest landscape, the animal appears alert yet calm, embodying the powerful stillness of nature.

The surrounding scenery — trees, water and distant silhouettes of deer — creates a narrative atmosphere, suggesting a living ecosystem where the stag reigns as a central presence. The composition invites the viewer into a silent woodland moment, somewhere between observation and contemplation.

The background was created instinctively using layered tones of grey, mineral textures and warm earth accents, evoking the depth of forest environments. These textured layers contrast with the precise lines of the stencil, giving the piece both structure and visual energy.

The artwork was produced using my signature double-layer stencil technique. The entire scene was digitally designed and then meticulously hand-cut before being applied with spray paint and acrylic. This process allows for intricate detail while preserving the spontaneity of the painted background.
The piece merges wildlife imagery with contemporary urban aesthetics, transforming a natural scene into a bold modern composition.

This is a unique, original artwork. Even if the stencil may reappear in future works, each background remains entirely one of a kind.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist whose work blends street art aesthetics, digital design and traditional craftsmanship. His stencils are digitally designed before being printed and hand-cut with meticulous attention to detail.

His artistic approach is based on the dialogue between precision and instinct. The stencil represents structure and mastery, while the background is created spontaneously, allowing textures and movement to emerge — a philosophy he describes as “originality in repetition.”

He has created murals across France and performs live painting for weddings and corporate events, bringing urban art energy into diverse environments.
All artworks are original pieces — no prints, no editions.
