About the Author

Pavlos Nirvanas (1866-1937) was the literary pseudonym of Petros K. Apostolidis, an important figure of modern Greek letters. He published numerous poetry collections, chronicles and newspaper articles and maintained close relationships with several prominent writers of his time.

He was closely associated with figures such as Ioannis Kondylakis, Grigorios Xenopoulos and Nikos Kavvadias, while he shared a particularly warm friendship with Alexandros Papadiamantis. In literary terms he is often placed within the broader circle of Kostis Palamas.
