Miroir mural ovale avec cadre en métal doré
Miroir mural de forme ovale, cadre en métal doré (probablement laiton patiné à l’or vieilli), style néo-classique ou Louis XVI revisité, fin XIXe - début XXe siècle. Couronnement supérieur orné d’un mascaron central (tête de satyre ou figure mythologique) entouré de rinceaux, volutes, feuilles d’acanthe et motifs floraux sculptés en relief. Verre miroir légèrement teinté d’âge, bord noirci d’origine visible sur le pourtour. Dos en contreplaqué fin d’époque, fixé par des crochets métalliques anciens. Provenance : collection privée belge.
État : très bon, miroir sans taches noires importantes ni désargenture majeure (reflet clair et net dans l’ensemble), cadre intact sans casse ni manque notable dans les ornements, dorure usée par endroits avec patine naturelle et oxydation discrète (typique de l’âge, sans décapage ni restauration agressive), pas de bosses, déformations ou réparations visibles, dos stable sans humidité ni décollement. Dimensions : 50 cm x 37 cm (miroir seul), épaisseur totale environ 3 cm. Poids : 1800 g.

Oval wall mirror with gilt metal frame
Oval wall mirror, frame in gilt metal (likely aged brass with old gold patina), neo-classical or revived Louis XVI style, late 19th - early 20th century. Upper crest featuring a central mascaron (satyr head or mythological figure) surrounded by scrolling acanthus leaves, volutes, foliage and floral motifs in high relief. Mirror glass with slight age tint, original blackened edge visible around the perimeter. Backing in period thin plywood, secured with antique metal hooks. Provenance: private Belgian collection.
Condition: very good, mirror without major black spots or significant desilvering (clear and sharp reflection overall), frame intact with no breaks or notable losses in the ornamentation, gilt worn in places with natural patina and discreet oxidation (typical of age, no aggressive stripping or restoration), no dents, deformations or visible repairs, back stable without moisture damage or detachment. Dimensions: 50 cm x 37 cm (mirror only), total thickness approx. 3 cm. Weight: 1800 g.
