ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Luffy (Haki)” captures the raw determination and inner power of an iconic character at the peak of intensity.
Through my double-layer stencil technique, I focused on sculpting contrasts to emphasize tension — deep shadows, sharp highlights and a strong vertical composition that reinforces presence and dominance. The gaze is uncompromising. The posture is grounded. This is the moment just before impact.
The textured blue background was created instinctively, adding a cold, almost metallic atmosphere that amplifies the character’s energy. The contrast between the spontaneous abstract surface and the precise hand-cut stencil defines the balance that drives my work.
Every stencil is digitally designed and manually cut with precision. While the motif may return in my artistic journey, each background is unique — making this piece a one-of-a-kind original.
This artwork speaks to resilience, ambition and the refusal to surrender — themes that resonate far beyond pop culture.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist working at the intersection of street art, digital creation and traditional craftsmanship. Based in the South of France, he designs his stencils digitally before printing and hand-cutting them with extreme precision.
His work is built around the concept of “originality in repetition”: the stencil may return, but the background is always spontaneous and unique. This dialogue between control and instinct shapes his visual identity.
He has created large-scale murals across France and performs live paintings for weddings and corporate events, bringing the energy of urban art into both public and private spaces.
