ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With “Young Goku”, I revisit one of the most iconic characters of Japanese pop culture through my stencil-based approach.
I chose to represent Goku in his early form — raw, fearless and full of energy — capturing the essence of movement and determination that defines the character. The dynamic pose and forward motion create an immediate visual impact, making the piece instantly engaging.
The figure is built using my hand-cut stencil technique, allowing for sharp contrasts and strong readability. In contrast, the background is entirely instinctive, composed of layered textures and subtle tones that cannot be reproduced.
This tension between precision and spontaneity is at the core of my work.
Even when I explore similar figures, each piece remains a unique variation, with a background that will never be replicated.
Works inspired by iconic characters tend to generate strong interest during auctions due to their immediate recognition and emotional connection.
MY WORK IN THE MARKET
My works are actively collected through international auctions, with a growing base of collectors following my stencil-based series.
This recurring demand reinforces the collectible nature of each piece, where early acquisitions become part of an evolving artistic trajectory.
