ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With “Bruce Lee”, I reinterpret one of the most iconic figures of martial arts and global pop culture.
I chose to capture him in a moment of tension and focus — a poised stance that reflects both control and explosive energy. The composition highlights his precision, discipline and inner strength, elements that made him a timeless symbol far beyond cinema.
The figure is created using my hand-cut stencil technique, allowing for sharp contrasts and a strong visual presence. In contrast, the background is entirely instinctive, built through layered textures and warm tones that amplify the intensity of the subject.
This opposition between structure and spontaneity is central to my work.
Each piece I create is unique. Even when I revisit iconic figures, the background is never reproduced, making every artwork a one-of-a-kind variation.
Works inspired by universally recognized figures like Bruce Lee tend to generate strong engagement during auctions due to their immediate impact and cultural significance.
