ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With “Le Lynx”, I focus on one of the most fascinating qualities of this animal — its gaze.
The composition is built around a direct and intense eye contact, creating an immediate connection with the viewer. The lynx appears both calm and alert, embodying precision, instinct and silent power.
I chose a close framing to amplify this presence, allowing the eyes to become the true focal point of the piece.
The subject is created using my hand-cut stencil technique, bringing sharpness and structure, while the background is entirely instinctive, composed of layered textures and warm mineral tones.
This contrast between control and spontaneity is central to my work.
Each piece I create is unique. Even when I revisit similar animals, the background is never reproduced, making every artwork a one-of-a-kind variation.
