ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With “Zeus”, I reinterpret one of the most powerful figures of Greek mythology through my stencil-based approach.
I chose to focus on the face — a symbol of authority, wisdom and raw force. The upward gaze and strong features create a sense of presence that feels both timeless and imposing.
The figure is constructed using my hand-cut stencil technique, bringing precision and clarity to the portrait. In contrast, the background is entirely instinctive, built through layered textures and energetic splashes of color that evoke movement and intensity.
This tension between control and spontaneity defines my work.
Each piece I create is unique. Even when I revisit mythological figures, the background is never reproduced, making every artwork a one-of-a-kind variation.
Mythological subjects like this one tend to attract strong interest during auctions due to their timeless symbolism and powerful visual presence.
