ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With “Graffiti Lovers”, I explore a simple yet powerful moment — the act of expressing emotion through creation.
The scene captures two children interacting with a painted heart, creating a direct narrative that is both playful and symbolic. It reflects spontaneity, innocence and the universal need to express connection.
The contrast between the figures and the vibrant, textured background creates an immediate visual impact. The composition feels alive, almost in motion, as if the graffiti itself were still being created.
I built the figures using my hand-cut stencil technique, ensuring precision and clarity, while the background is entirely instinctive, layered and impossible to reproduce.
This tension between control and spontaneity defines my work.
Each piece I create is unique. Even when I revisit similar compositions, the background is never reproduced, making every artwork a one-of-a-kind variation.
Narrative compositions like this one tend to attract strong attention during auctions due to their emotional readability and immediate connection with the viewer.
