Patricia Marini (b. 1987, Romania) is a self-taught painter with a foundation in art history, which she studied in Transylvania. Initially drawn to the academic side of the visual arts, she spent several years working in creative industries across Vienna and London before committing fully to painting.

Now based in Budapest, Marini works from a studio in the city’s historic center, where she creates oil paintings that merge figuration with geometric abstraction. Her compositions explore the tension between emotional depth and constructed form, drawing inspiration from Picasso, Giorgio de Chirico, and George Condo.

Her work often centers on hybrid figures, at times mechanical, at times deeply human, reflecting on identity, connection, and transformation. Recent paintings expand beyond futuristic themes, turning toward intimacy, memory, and psychological fragmentation, while maintaining her signature structural approach.

Collected throughout Europe and internationally, Marini’s paintings appeal to both contemporary art collectors and those drawn to emerging, emotionally resonant voices.
