Impressive antique dowry chest, made in India (Rajasthan or Gujarat), dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The chest features richly embossed metal cladding with geometric patterns, decorative studs, and large traditional lock plates, giving it a strong and authentic character. Chests of this type were traditionally used to store textiles, valuables, and household goods. The piece shows a beautiful aged patina and craftsmanship typical of handmade Indian furniture from this period.
