The Elixir 12027 is a set of electric guitar strings with a Nanoweb coating that ensures a longer lifespan, retention of clear tone, and a comfortable playing feel. General Description
The Elixir 12027 is a set for electric guitars consisting of 6 strings, with a Custom Light gauge of .009 to .046 (.009, .011, .016, .026w, .036w, .046w) and made of nickel-plated steel

The strings feature an ultra-thin Nanoweb coating, which acts as a barrier against dirt, oil, sweat, and rust, ensuring the clear sound is retained longer than with uncoated strings

This coating also reduces the squeaking sound that can occur when moving fingers over the strings, which is particularly beneficial in studio work

Durability and Maintenance
Thanks to the Nanoweb coating, the Elixir 12027 strings last 3 to 5 times longer than standard strings

The wear resistance and corrosion protection ensure that the tone remains consistent, even with frequent use or in humid environments

Both the Wound and unwound strings have undergone anti-corrosion and anti-rust treatments respectively, further supporting their longevity.

Sound and Playability
The strings offer a clear, dynamic tone and a rich sound with plenty of presence and punch, comparable to traditional uncoated strings.

The Custom Light gauge makes them pleasant to play, suitable for light bends on the high strings and heavy riffs on the low E string.

Furthermore, this set is well-suited for lower tunings and drop tunings, thanks to the slightly thicker wound strings.

Extra Features
Comfortable playability due to smooth Nanoweb coating

Anti-Rust layer on the unwound strings

Full-length coating prevents dirt buildup in windings

Long-lasting consistency for home use, studio, and stage use.

Summary
The Elixir 12027 Nanoweb Custom Light is suitable for guitarists who want durable strings that maintain clarity and comfort, with a longer lifespan. than conventional strings, and for those who want to benefit from anti-rust protection and a smooth playing feel. They are generally considered an excellent choice for both recording and live situations.

Elixir 19002 strings are Super Light gauge electric guitar strings (.009–.042) made of nickel-plated steel with Optiweb coating, offering a natural feel, bright tone, and exceptionally long lifespan.
Key Features
String Material: Nickel-plated steel (NPS) provides bright, clear tone, durability, and a natural feel similar to uncoated strings
Gauge: Super Light set with string thicknesses of .009, .011, .016, .024, .032, and .042 inches
Coating Technology: Optiweb coating is ultra-thin, preserving tonal clarity and natural feel while protecting the strings from dirt, corrosion, and buildup between winding gaps
Playability: The Super Light gauge is ideal for easy bending, fast playing, and expressive leads. Optiweb strings feel less slick than Nanoweb, offering a grip similar to uncoated strings, enhancing control for bends, vibrato, and sustain
Longevity: These strings last 3–5 times longer than conventional strings while maintaining tone, meaning fewer replacements and consistent performance over time
Anti-Rust Protection: Both wound and plain strings are treated to resist rust, reducing maintenance and helping sustain tone
Tone and Feel
Elixir 19002 strings offer a bright, crisp, and natural tone similar to uncoated strings but with the protective benefits of a coated set

Players report that these strings retain clarity over time, with a stable tuning once initially stretched and broken-in

Unlike Nanoweb, the Optiweb coating provides a tactile feel that is close to standard steel strings but still offers extended string life
Ideal Use
Recommended for electric guitarists looking for longevity without compromising on the feel of uncoated strings.
Particularly suitable for fast shredding, soloing, and smooth bends due to the Super Light gauge.
Great for players who want reduced maintenance and consistent tone over extended playing periods.
Summary
Elixir 19002 Optiweb Super Light strings combine the natural playability and sharp tonal qualities of uncoated strings with the durability and protection of Elixir’s coating technology. These strings are designed for high-performance players who value tone stability, longevity, and comfortable playability on electric guitars
