2019 Petrolo, Galatrona - Toscane - 1 Magnum (1,5 L)
The Galatrona di Petrolo vineyards were planted in the late 1980s. The soil here is ideal for lush growth: clay mixed with marl, alberese, and sandstone, ensuring the final product delivers structure, elegance, and balance. The chosen cultivation regime is organic, and human intervention in the vineyard is kept to a minimum, banning the use of synthetic chemicals and pesticides in favor of full grass cover. The harvest is carried out manually into crates, and the best grapes are selected on a sorting table. In the cellar, alcoholic fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks, followed by frequent, gentle pumping over and a long maceration. It ages in French barriques for 18-20 months, with constant batonnage for the first six months.
