2017 Pierre Boisson Les Criots - Meursault - 6 Bouteilles (0,75 L)

Six 75cl bottles of Pierre Boisson Meursault Les Criots 2017, in excellent condition, with labels and capsules in excellent condition. Bottled at the château. Shipped via UPS. About the estate: From a long line of winemakers, Pierre Boisson is the son of Bernard Boisson, an emblematic figure of Domaine Boisson-Vadot. With his sister Anne, he participated in the gradual transition of the family estate, while simultaneously developing his own wines under his own name. Today, each of the three names (Boisson-Vadot, Pierre Boisson, and Anne Boisson) is associated with a unique production, faithful to the shared spirit of the house: sincere, precise, and remarkably honest wines. Domaine Pierre Boisson, which covers approximately 3.5 hectares in Meursault, is cultivated using traditional methods. No chemical fertilizers are used, the soils are worked by plowing, and every action is considered with respect for living organisms. The winemaking philosophy is equally rigorous: aging is particularly long (15, 18 months or more), carried out in old barrels to avoid any over-extraction of oak, with limited lees stirring and no fining or filtration before bottling. The result? Some of the finest Meursault whites in the appellation, boasting beautiful verticality, a refined salinity, and a complexity that continues to blossom with age. The reds, often overlooked, are also highly accomplished, elegant, and balanced. Despite growing success and a certain rarity, prices remain reasonable, making Domaine Pierre Boisson one of the "best value wines" according to La Revue du Vin de France. About the cuvée: While Meursault is an appellation on the rise, Domaine Pierre Boisson is also a highly sought-after name among enthusiasts in search of wines that are both profound and precise. Here, he crafts a beautiful wine using traditional methods. Indeed, with sound, down-to-earth farming practices, he carefully tends the vines, and this philosophy continues in the cellar. The Chardonnay grapes that make up this cuvée are enhanced by extended aging and gentle stirring of the lees, which stirs the lees and imparts aromas and structure to the wine. Finally, it is bottled without prior filtration. We recommend letting this wine rest for two or three years after its vintage. It will be at its peak after ten years of cellaring. You will then appreciate its aromatic expression, marked by notes of citrus, fresh butter, and nuts such as almond and hazelnut. Balanced and enlivened by a pronounced minerality, it pairs beautifully with fine gastronomic dishes. We suggest, for example, vol-au-vent with sweetbreads, a creamy asparagus risotto, or a fine roasted Bresse chicken with morels.
