About Karl Lagasse
Karl Lagasse gained international recognition in 2009 with his iconic One Dollar sculptures and was ranked among the top ten sculptors under 30 by Artprice that same year. In 2012, the New York publication Farameh included him among the fifty leading contemporary artists inspired by traditional American icons.
His artistic journey began at a young age, evolving from collage to graffiti and later to sculpture, encouraged by influential figures such as César Baldaccini and Yvaral Vasarely. Over the years, Lagasse has exhibited internationally and unveiled monumental works, including large-scale public installations and record-sized One Dollar sculptures.
