About the painting:
“Between Sea and Sky” embraces a reduced minimalist composition, distilling the landscape into its most essential elements: light, atmosphere, and space. Soft layers of muted neutrals and tranquil blue tones dissolve gently into one another, blurring the boundary between water and sky until the horizon becomes almost intangible. Subtle textures and delicate vertical gestures introduce movement within the stillness, creating a quiet rhythm that feels both spontaneous and restrained.
Through its simplicity, the work invites contemplation — capturing that suspended moment where sea and sky merge, and the vastness of nature becomes a meditation on calm, openness, and presence.
About the artist:
Andreea Zecheru is a known abstract artist based in Hamburg, Germany. Many of her works are held in private and institutional collections across Europe and the US.
“My work begins where the visible meets the felt—an attempt to capture the layers of perception and reduce them to their most essential, minimalist resonance. I approach the canvas as a field of relationships, exploring the duality between control and spontaneity, stillness and movement. Through an intuitive process of observation and response, I seek to create spaces that invite stillness and attention, allowing energy and clarity to coexist.” - Andreea Zecheru
