Description fournie par le vendeur
Exceptional antique European evening purse dating from the early 20th century, circa 1910–1925, exquisitely crafted from heavy cut steel microbeads forming an intricate geometric architectural pattern evocative of Gothic tracery and early Art Deco design.
Unlike traditional mesh purses, this rare example is composed of individually assembled metallic beads, creating a richly textured surface with remarkable depth, shimmer, and weight. The striking symmetrical motif recalls cathedral windows and Viennese Secession aesthetics, giving the piece an unusually sophisticated and dramatic presence.
The ornate metal frame and delicate chain handle further enhance its refined Belle Époque elegance. Most likely produced in France or Germany, the bag reflects the luxurious craftsmanship associated with high-quality European evening accessories of the Jazz Age and late Edwardian era.
The handbag remains in very good vintage condition, some signs of age are present, small tears at the attachment points of the bag, which add character and confirm its historical journey.
A timeless collector's piece, perfect as both a wearable accessory and a decorative object, bringing a touch of antique glamour to any curated interior or wardrobe.
