Vintage Christofle 4-Piece Silver-Plated Baby & Weaning Citrus Set – With Original Presentation Box.

An uncommon and highly charming vintage 4-piece child’s weaning and citrus preparation set (Coffret de Naissance / Ensemble de Sevrage) by the premier French silversmith Maison Christofle. Dating to the mid-20th century (most likely 1968), this beautifully engineered luxury set was specifically created to prepare and serve fresh vitamin juices for infants.

Set Composition & Structural Details:

1x Small Child's Tumbler/Gobelet: Features clean, minimalist bands wrapped around a gently tapered form. Fully stamped on the base with the Christofle manufacturer mark and square silver-plate scale hallmarks.

1x Juice Strainer/Passoire: Artfully perforated disk designed to rest flush over the tumbler to trap seeds and pulp.

1x Infant Spoon: Perfectly proportioned flatware piece with an elegant, polished mirror bowl.

1x Glass/Crystal Lemon Squeezer: Clear, ribbed press with a integrated pour-spout and side handle. Fits perfectly into the custom-molded tray slot.

1x Original Fitted Presentation Box: Dark textured outer case with functional front brass latches, featuring an elegant white silk/satin interior lining stamped with the gold leaf "Christofle" signature crest.

Condition Report:

Silver-Plated Elements: Good condition. The silver plating remains entirely intact with no heavy scratching, plate loss, or base metal exposure. Some signs of age.

Glass Squeezer: Pristine condition, free of any chips, flea bites, or internal fractures.

All four elements have the prominent Christofle stamps, as seen in photos.

Presentation Box: The hard-sided structural casing and brass hinges remain sturdy and functional. Please note that the interior white silk lining exhibits historical water/juice staining from genuine past use, as clearly displayed in the high-resolution photographs. There is a tiny separation on the back of the box near a hinge, as seen in photo, but it functions flawlessly.
