Elegant French Napoleon III oil lamp, circa 1860-1880, featuring a hand-painted porcelain reservoir on an ornate cast brass base, complete with its original opaline glass globe.

Pale sky-blue porcelain body with two decorative panels: one depicting a cherub (putto) playing a drum among clouds with gold cartouche border, the other with a delicate spray of pink roses on a branch
Ornate cast brass scalloped base with scrollwork feet
Original brass burner mechanism with wick adjuster wheel and decorative pierced brass gallery
Original round opaline/frosted glass globe shade — intact and complete
Brass collar with engraved scrollwork detail
Condition:
Porcelain in good condition with natural age marks
Brass fittings with natural patina
Globe intact, no chips or cracks visible
Wick mechanism functional
