Alfred Noyer (active 1900s–1940s) was a renowned French photographer and postcard publisher who operated a prominent studio in Paris. He is best remembered for his iconic sepia-toned and heavily hand-colored real photo postcards (RPPCs) featuring famous actresses, opera singers, and cultural subjects.
The photograph here on auction is one of the larger hand-colored vintage prints which are quite rare in this format.
