Profil court
Je suis née au Suriname, en Amérique du Sud, et je porte en moi un riche héritage culturel : Surinamais, Indonésien, Africain et Néerlandais. J’ai grandi aux Pays-Bas, entourée de l’héritage des anciens maîtres néerlandais — dans un pays où Vermeer et Rembrandt ne sont jamais loin.
Une mission pour une marque de parfum m’a un jour conduite à Venise. Là, j’ai été profondément émue par l’art baroque, l’architecture et l’histoire stratifiée de la ville. Cette expérience a fait naître en moi quelque chose de profond et est devenue une source d’inspiration durable qui façonne encore aujourd’hui ma vision artistique.
Mon processus créatif est soigneusement élaboré et profondément multidisciplinaire. Je construis mes mises en scène avec une grande attention aux détails, en intégrant mes autres passions artistiques : dessin au charcoal, travail avec l’or, textiles et manipulation photo avancée. Chaque pièce que je crée réunit tous ces éléments en une expression cohérente.
