Light tropical notes develop in the glass, giving it a real feeling of exotic beauty. The producer describes rich and complex aromas of zesty and candied citrus, pollen, white flowers, roasted hazelnut and Madagascar vanilla. On the palate, incredible tension and perfectly honed aromatic precision, with a powerful, distinctive attack and silky, mouth-coating texture characteristic of the ripe Pinot Noirs from the 2012 vintage. The Cristal 2012 is undoubtedly one of the greatest vintages of the house, with the continental climate of the late season delivering grapes of rare ripeness.  The blend is approximately 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, aged 6 years on yeast and a further 8 months in bottle after disgorgement.
