This classic bottling belongs to the core Sherry Oak Collection. It was distilled at the Craigellachie estate in Speyside and matured exclusively in hand-picked, Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks brought directly from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Unlike modern expressions, it displays a remarkably natural amber-gold hue achieved entirely from the wood interaction, providing a heavy, full-bodied oily profile that made Macallan famous worldwide.

Tasting Notes:

Nez: Incroyablement invitant, rond et avec une influence sherry classique de Speyside. Il s’ouvre sur des notes distinctes de jute, de cerises rouges fraîches et de sultanines. Cela évolue vers un fond sucré et velouté de chocolat au lait, de caramel riche et d’une légère pointe de anciennes pièces de cuivre.

Bouche: Extrêmement buvable et lisse. Il enrobe la langue d’un sirop de cerise épais, de dattes noires, de fudge riche et de vanille chaude. Un élément d’épices de cuisson légèrement piquant suit, porté par la cannelle et une touche de poivre noir.

Finale: Moyenne en longueur avec une tannin bois légèrement sèche et élégante. Il s’épanouit magnifiquement, laissant des notes persistantes et réchauffantes de glaçage au sherry sucré, de malt épicé et d’amandes grillées sèches.
