Scarce Detmold brothers coloured edition of Kipling's most famous prose work. This lovely colourful copy is beautifully illustrated with 16 illustrations in colour including the tissue-guarded frontispiece plate, by Maurice and Edward Detmold. Published by Macmillan and Co. Limited, London, 1908. Publisher’s original red boards with gilt decorations and gilt lettering on upper board, and spine. Top page edges gilt.

Condition:
The book is beautifully bound, designed and illustrated. External covers in nice shape, slightly faded, and with light wear to corners, edges, and to head of the spine. Internally; the book in very good condition. No names or inscriptions. Pages are firmly attached and clean, and with light foxing marks on first and last blank free endpaper pages. All colour plates are present and in nice condition (Collectible Copy) (Please see pictures).
