Offered for sale is an exceptional Optonica RT-7100, one of the finest cassette decks produced by Sharp under its prestigious Optonica brand during the golden era of Japanese hi‑fi. Designed and manufactured in Japan, this premium single cassette deck is highly sought after by collectors for its superb engineering, elegant industrial design, and advanced microprocessor-controlled transport.
The RT-7100 features a precision 2-motor transport, Dolby B noise reduction, programmable music search (APMS), automatic program search (APSS), fluorescent peak level meters with Peak Hold, timer recording/playback capability, auto-blank spacing, repeat functions, limiter, adjustable output level, and separate microphone inputs with independent level controls. These advanced features made it one of the most sophisticated cassette decks of its time.
