Up for auction is this stunning pair of chairs in the elegant Louis XV style. Most likely Dutch or Italian, these chairs were popular from the middle of the XIX century to the 1950s. These are a prime example of the highest quality and regal elegance of the interiors in that era. Made most likely from walnut, the pair is adorned with elegant inlays, a bronze sabos on the front legs and green velvet cloth. The chairs show signs of time and use corresponding with their age. There are several cracks and scratches, but they are still sturdy and did not creak when used by a 90 kg person. The pair could be used as an interesting restoration project or used as they are for a more antique feel.
