Deze 18e-eeuwse gravure (Chatelain, 1714, uit de "Atlas Historique") toont de genealogie van Mahomet (Mohammed), beginnend bij Ismaël, zoon van de aartsvader Abraham. De boom loopt via generaties als Kedar, Adnan, Nizar en Modar naar Kaab, en vertakt zich vervolgens naar families als Omar, Adi en Abdolmenaf. Via Haschem en Abdolmotaleb komt de lijn uit bij Mahomet zelf (aangeduid als "Prophète"), met zijn dochter Phatime (Fatima), gehuwd met Aly (Ali). Aan de zijkanten staan ook verwante takken zoals Abdorrhaman, Abuteleb, Abbas en Othman, die de bredere familie en latere kaliefen (Ali, Otman) omvatten.

This 18th-century engraving (Chatelain, 1714, from the "Atlas Historique") depicts the genealogy of Mahomet (Muhammad), starting from Ismael, son of the patriarch Abraham. The tree descends through generations such as Kedar, Adnan, Nizar, and Modar to Kaab, then branches into families including Omar, Adi, and Abdolmenaf. Through Haschem and Abdolmotaleb, the line reaches Mahomet himself (labeled "Prophète"), with his daughter Phatime (Fatima), married to Aly (Ali). Side branches show related relatives such as Abdorrhaman, Abuteleb, Abbas, and Othman, including the later caliphs (Ali, Othman).
