The lid and base feature a finely machine-engraved basketweave/parquet pattern, bordered by a scrolling Greek-key style band — decorative work typical of Pforzheim-area workshops of the period. Push-button side catch, hinged construction, stamped "ALPACCA" alongside a maker's punch reading "CR" (maker not firmly identified). Weight: 95g. Dimensions: 9 x 8 x 1.2 cm. Condition: age-appropriate patina and light surface wear consistent with genuine vintage use; catch functions correctly.
