This is an authentic Polynesian dance paddle, known as a rapa, originating from Easter Island (Rapa Nui).

Hand-carved from a single piece of dark, dense wood, the object features the characteristic abstract anthropomorphic design. The upper section showcases stylized facial features, including carved brow lines and prominent earlobe piercings, transitioning into a slender neck and a broad, teardrop-shaped lower blade.The wood exhibits a rich, dark brown patina with visible grain patterns and minor surface wear consistent with age and traditional handling.
