Artist Information
Koji Kasatani (né en 1964) est un artiste japonais.
Après avoir obtenu son diplôme d’une école d’art à Florence, en Italie,
j’ai étudié les techniques céramiques italiennes.
Après être revenu au Japon, j’ai commencé à me lancer des défis pour créer des œuvres qui dépassaient les frontières de la céramique.
Lorsque j’ai trouvé dans la cuisine quelques restes de bananes, le fruit préféré de mon père, j’ai été convaincu que c’était de l’art, et depuis lors j’ai créé des œuvres sur le thème des bananes pendant environ 18 ans.
Certaines pièces sont réalisées à l’aide de résine.
