Description fournie par le vendeur

A rare and elegant Legras pressed glass decanter, produced in the late 19th - early 20th century as part of a special commercial production for French liqueur and spirit manufacturers. Unlike the company’s artistic glass, these commissioned pieces were typically marked “Déposé” on the base, indicating a registered design intended for branded alcoholic beverages rather than standard retail production.
The decanter features a striking architectural silhouette with a tall tapered body enhanced by a beautifully moulded relief decoration of cascading draped motifs, creating remarkable depth and brilliance as the light passes through the glass. It retains its original ground stopper, perfectly complementing the refined proportions of the piece.
The base is embossed “Déposé”, a characteristic mark found on these special commercial productions by Legras.
The decanter is preserved in excellent antique condition, with only normal traces of age and use expected for an authentic piece over a century old. And has one internal hit nearby base. The glass remains beautifully clear, with no significant damage, making it an exceptional decorative and collectible example.
An uncommon and highly decorative piece of French glassmaking, combining the quality of Legras with the fascinating history of early commercial production for prestigious French liqueur houses. A wonderful addition to any collection of antique French glass, advertising-related objects, or Art Nouveau decorative arts.
Height — 38.5 cm
Top diameter — 4.4 cm
Base diameter — 10 cm
Circumference (widest part) — 32 cm
