Conway Stewart No.18 Duro-Point porte-mine, fabriqué au Royaume-Uni, en celluloïd marbré gris/noir avec ornement doré, environ 131 mm de long et 0,7 cm de diamètre, daté circa 1935–1940, en excellent état et fonctionnel, livré avec la boîte d’époque Conway Stewart Writing Set (stylos-plume non inclus).

Porte-mine ancien Conway Stewart No.18 Duro-Point, fabriqué en Angleterre et datant vraisemblablement des années 1930, circa 1935–1940.
Belle finition en matière marbrée gris/noir, avec attributs dorés et trois fines bagues décoratives.
Le corps porte le numéro de modèle No.18.
Longueur : environ 131 mm.
Le mécanisme à rotation a été testé et fonctionne correctement : la mine avance et recule normalement.
Le porte-mine est accompagné d’une boîte Conway Stewart “Writing Set” d’époque, avec ses instructions d’utilisation d’origine encore présentes à l’intérieur du couvercle.
Cette boîte était destinée à recevoir un ensemble composé d’un stylo-plume et d’un porte-mine. Seul le porte-mine No.18 est présent ; le stylo-plume n’est pas inclus.
Bel état général compte tenu de son âge, avec patine et traces d’utilisation compatibles avec un instrument d’écriture datant d’environ 85 à 90 ans. La boîte présente également les marques normales du temps visibles sur les photographies.
Un bel accessoire d’écriture Conway Stewart britannique d’avant-guerre, fonctionnel et accompagné d’une intéressante boîte d’époque.

Vintage Conway Stewart No.18 Duro-Point propelling pencil, made in England and most probably dating from the 1930s, circa 1935–1940.
Attractive grey/black marbled finish with gold-coloured trim and three narrow decorative bands.
The pencil is identified as No.18.
Length: approximately 131 mm.
The twist mechanism has been tested and works correctly: the lead advances and retracts as intended.
The pencil comes with a period Conway Stewart “Writing Set” presentation box, retaining its original printed instructions inside the lid.
The box was originally designed to accommodate both a fountain pen and a propelling pencil. Only the No.18 pencil is present; the matching fountain pen is not included.
Attractive overall condition considering its age, with normal age-related patina and signs of use. The presentation box also shows normal traces of age, as visible in the photographs.
An attractive and fully functional pre-war British Conway Stewart writing instrument, accompanied by a period presentation box.
The photographs form an integral part of the description.
