Signed limited edition - copy #112/175. Half title has a handwritten and signed dedication by the author.
Half red leather with gilt titles to spine, and marbled boards. New end papers. Slight rubbing to the spine, but in very good state.
Internally in excellent condition, decorated with coloured initials by Hubert Dupond. A dissertation on the technical evolution of printing.
Maur Guillaume Linephty (sometimes written Maur Guillaume‑Linephty) was a Belgian art historian and writer, active mainly in the 1930s–1950s, best known for short, illustrated monographs on early Netherlandish painters.
He contributed an illustrated this catalogue on Dupond’s letter designs for an exhibition at the Musée du Livre in Brussels.
