Danmark – 100 Kroner 1943, Danmarks Nationalbank, Svendsen/Neergaard, B 8055066, P-33d

Danish 100 Kroner banknote dated 1943, issued by Danmarks Nationalbank, serial number B 8055066, catalogued as Pick P-33d. The note bears the signatures of Knud Svendsen and Neergaard and belongs to the large-format Danish banknote series circulating during the Second World War period.

Printed predominantly in brown, ochre and pale green tones, the front displays the large inscriptions “DANMARK” and “HUNDREDE KRONER”, the date 1943, serial number and signatures within an elaborate ornamental framework. The reverse features the crowned Danish coat of arms with three lions and hearts, held between two mythological figures, with large “100” denominations in the lower corners.

The banknote is part of the decorative Danmarks Nationalbank series associated with the designs of Gerhard Heilmann. The finely engraved vegetal and figurative ornamentation remains clearly defined, while the denomination, date, serial number and signatures are fully legible. The 1943 issue is the P-33d variety with prefix B.

Circulated example with a pronounced central vertical fold and additional lighter folds, moderate handling wear, light age toning and scattered small spots, particularly toward the upper margin. There is minor wear along the edges and corners, without substantial paper loss visible in the photographs. The printed design remains complete and retains attractive overall colour and detail.
