Description: Offered for sale is an authentic piece of history and an accessory of great elegance: a semi-automatic mechanical SAFFA lighter, the Superiore model, manufactured in Italy (Milan) during the 1930s–1940s. SAFFA (Società Anonima Fabbriche Fiammiferi ed Affini) was the giant of the Italian monopoly of smoking articles, recognized for its mechanisms of exceptional precision and quality, made to compete with the great German and Austrian brands of the era. Technical details and condition: Guaranteed authenticity: The base of the lighter is clearly stamped with the model name ("SUPERIORE") and the original SAFFA monogram (the letters S and T superimposed in a shield). Working condition: Perfectly functional! The automatic ignition mechanism fires firmly, the toothed wheel produces a strong spark, and the flame is stable and clean (it runs on classic lighter fuel, Zippo type). Aesthetic condition: Very good for its age (almost a century). The plated/chrome brass body has a superb original patina, without any dents or structural defects.
