Résumé assisté par IA

Description fournie par le vendeur

Antique Art Nouveau table cruet and condiment set, Continental Europe, probably France, circa 1895–1910.

An attractive Belle Époque table cruet set comprising an ornate silvered-metal stand with removable clear-glass condiment vessels.

The cast stand is designed in the Art Nouveau manner, with flowing vegetal ornament, an elaborate four-footed base and a tall central carrying handle terminating in a stylised iris or floral motif. Circular holders surround the central stem and accommodate the various glass vessels.

Included are a matching pair of tall fluted glass bottles, traditionally intended for oil and vinegar, together with several smaller moulded-glass condiment containers for mustard, salt, pepper or similar table seasonings. Two loose glass covers/stoppers are also included, as photographed.

The frame is believed to be silver-plated or silvered base metal rather than solid silver; no clearly identifiable silver hallmark has been found. The construction and decorative language are typical of French and Continental European tableware of the Belle Époque / Art Nouveau period around 1900.

Dating: circa 1895–1910
Style: Art Nouveau / Belle Époque
Probable origin: France / Continental Europe
Materials: silver-plated or silvered metal and moulded clear glass
Maker: unidentified

Condition: antique condition with substantial patina, oxidation, tarnishing and wear to the silvered finish, particularly around the base and vessel holders. The glass components display normal age-related wear. The assortment of glass vessels may include period replacements.
