Elegant antique/vintage highly ornate teapot with matching warming stand, featuring elaborate raised floral and scrolling decoration throughout.

The teapot has a beautifully decorated hinged lid with ornamental finial, a large sculptural overhead handle and an unusual curved spout terminating in a stylised bird’s head. The matching pedestal warming stand is equally richly decorated and rests on four elegant feet. The lower section incorporates a circular holder intended for a small burner or heat source.

The craftsmanship and abundance of decorative detail give the piece a striking historic appearance, making it particularly suitable for a collection of antique metalware or as an impressive decorative centrepiece.

The surface displays an attractive aged patina with areas of oxidation, tarnishing, rubbing and discolouration consistent with age and previous use. The underside and warming area show more pronounced signs of use.

No clearly identifiable hallmark is visible in the photographs; therefore, the piece is conservatively described as silver-plated/white metal rather than solid silver.

Condition:
Fair to good antique condition, with visible patina, tarnishing, oxidation, surface wear and traces of previous use. More pronounced wear is present around the warming stand and burner area. No major structural damage is apparent from the photographs.
