The Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM is the stabilised f/2.8 telephoto zoom that became the working lens of wedding, sport and press photographers from 2001. Four UD elements keep it sharp wide open, the image stabiliser is worth around three stops, and the ring USM focuses fast and silently with full-time manual override. The barrel is dust and moisture resistant. Constant f/2.8 across the range is what makes the background fall away, and it comes with its original box and Canon soft case.
