A natural banded agate parrot bead talisman from the ancient Burmese culture, Late Samon Valley culture, 800 BC - 200 AD .
In good condition. It has been cleaned, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Traces of use and age on its surface. Original, ancient, hand forming, cutting, boring and grinding. The holes are ancient, hand-made, irregular.
Purchased in 1995/ Yangon by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market.
