Rare Vintage IWC Schaffhausen Automatic - Caliber 8541B - Cushion Case (Circa 1973)
A fine, rare, and highly collectible 1970s IWC Schaffhausen automatic wrist watch featuring a distinct cushion-shaped stainless steel case and an exquisite sunburst dial.
Brand: IWC Schaffhausen
Movement: In-house Automatic Caliber C.8541B (featuring the legendary Pellaton winding system). Signed and numbered 2148590. Runs smoothly and keeps accurate time.
Dial: Original silver sunburst dial with a rare radiating starburst texture. Features applied hour markers with black accents, date window at 3 o'clock, and original hands.
Case: Solid stainless steel cushion case. Case serial number 2158840 stamped on the exterior case back.
Crown: Original IWC crown with the iconic Fish logo.
Strap: Aftermarket high-quality black leather strap with alligator pattern and steel buckle.
Case & Bezel: The stainless steel case retains its original sharp geometric lines and brushed finishing. It shows minor hairline scratches, light surface scuffs, and small signs of wear consistent with age and careful use (notably on the bezel edges and upper lugs). No severe dents or deep gouges.
