Eugen Kirchner is internationally recognized as a founding member of the prestigious Munich Secession (*Münchner Sezession*) and a key figure in the development of the modernist movement known in Germany as *Jugendstil*. He mastered watercolor drawing, printmaking, and painting, capturing scenes of everyday life as well as landscapes and genre compositions.
