The Last Warm Days captures the lingering beauty of a season just before it begins to change. Delicate flowers rise through glowing layers of amber, coral and gold, surrounded by vivid fuchsia, violet and unexpected flashes of turquoise blue.

Loose botanical forms and fine expressive lines give the composition a sense of movement, as though the flowers were shifting gently in warm late-summer air. Some petals appear clearly defined while others dissolve into luminous fields of colour, allowing the image to move naturally between representation and abstraction.

The contrast between the radiant upper passages and the deeper burgundy and violet tones below creates a beautiful emotional depth — warmth touched by the first suggestion of change.
