Résumé assisté par IA

Description fournie par le vendeur

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

“Normal is Boring” is a direct statement about individuality, creative freedom, and the refusal to disappear into the ordinary.

The child standing on the ladder with a paint roller gives the piece a spontaneous, instinctive energy, as if the message is being created directly on the wall. The contrast between the strict typography of “NORMAL” and the more fluid lettering of “BORING” reinforces the rejection of conformity.

The blue and violet background gives the artwork a luminous, vibrant presence while keeping the composition fresh and contemporary.

A bold statement piece for collectors drawn to creativity, independence, and the courage to do things differently.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist with a strong and instantly recognizable visual identity. His signature technique — the hand-cut double-layer stencil — separates light and shadow into two distinct stencils, layered onto a spontaneous, hand-painted abstract background. The result: a sharp, iconic figure rising from a vibrant, textured chaos of color.

To date, 450+ artworks sold in 10+ countries have found their way into private collections across France, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, the UAE, and the US. He has performed live painting for major French institutions including Disneyland Paris, created large-scale murals for corporate headquarters, and exhibited in several French street art festivals (Grimaud, Perpignan, Venelle). His work is currently shown at Galerie Spot 72 in Le Mans.

His subjects move between mythology, pop culture icons, wildlife and emotionally charged scenes. Whatever the theme, the signature remains: precise stencil work, instinctive background, and the small smiling "AP" monogram — Alexandre's two initials fused into a face — sprayed on every original piece.

Each artwork is a unique original. No prints, no identical editions: every background is painted individually and spontaneously on the canvas, making each piece different. Each hand-cut stencil is strictly limited to a maximum of 50 original artworks. Once that limit is reached, the stencil is permanently retired. A deliberate choice to preserve scarcity, protect the identity of each series, and avoid diluting the value of the work.
