Preeti Deshpande - Three Hares

Preeti Deshpande (b. 1978), UK

Watchful Hares, 2025

Original oil painting on canvas.

Watchful Hares is an expressive contemporary oil painting depicting three hares emerging from a richly textured natural landscape. The composition brings the animals together in a triangular arrangement, with each hare conveying a different sense of alertness and character. Vibrant blue and turquoise tones contrast with warm earthy browns and ochres, creating an atmospheric and immersive woodland setting.

The work explores themes of connection, awareness and the quiet relationship between animals and their natural environment. Expressive brushwork, layered colour and visible painterly texture give the piece a contemporary, organic quality.

This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork, painted by the artist in 2025. It is not a print or reproduction.
