This LEGO set has been opend and is partly build. It has only be used once by me (an adult, no childrens play). I expect all pieces to be there and that the set is complete. The stickers are complete and has never been used. The building instruction is also super fine. This advanced construction set of the X-WING Fighter is part of the very first LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series, launched in 2000. This was the first generation of the Ultimate Collector Series and established the distinctive format and presentation style. I know this firsthand because I was the Product Manager at LEGO at the time and was responsible for the launch of this series. I was part of the project team that developed LEGO Star Wars within LEGO Marketing and Product Development in Billund, Denmark. The LEGO Star Wars partnership was still new at the time, coinciding with the release of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. We developed this series in close cooperation with Lucasfilm's Licensing Department, which reviewed and approved every aspect of the products. The outer packaging shows some minor signs of storage and age, but it has been kept in my personal storage room since 2000. It does also show that it has been opened and that new tape has been placed to keep the box closed. The packaging design and visual presentation of the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series were developed by the Danish advertising agency Advance. I personally prepared the creative brief for the agency and approved the final design that was ultimately used for the product line.
