ORIGINAL Painting, character portraiture by ARVY
The painting is 100% hand-painted using highly pigmented artist-grade acrylic paints and finished with a UV-protective satin varnish. It is created on unprimed, firm, robust, and kink-resistant gallery-quality canvas (360 g/m²) without a stretcher frame.
Dimensions: 105x165 cm (entire canvas)
Artwork Overview:
Every important choice begins with an argument no one else can hear.
Three crowned figures face the viewer as though assembled in a private courtroom. On the left, a character carries a cross-like mark and a pink heart upon its dark face, embodying conscience, loyalty and emotional consequence. In the centre, a compact one-eyed figure reduces the world to a single urgent point: instinct. On the right, a broad black head watches through two mismatched eyes while a radiant third presence hovers above its crown, suggesting the restless intelligence that observes, compares and refuses to stop thinking. Each figure wears a crown because each believes it should decide.
In The Inner Jury, ARVY gives psychological conflict its own cast of characters. None is presented as the villain. Feeling protects what matters, instinct reacts before language arrives, and reason searches endlessly for consequences. The tension comes from the possibility that all three may be right at the same time.
A warm ochre ground gives the scene an unexpected calm, while the monumental black forms create graphic authority. Burgundy, cobalt blue, pink and acidic green punctuate the composition with emotional intensity. Deliberately naïve distortion meets raw neo-expressionist brushwork; scratches, revisions and wandering lines resemble fragments of unspoken testimony.
The painting captures the private drama of being divided—and the wisdom of understanding that no single inner voice should rule alone.

Artist Bio:
ARVY is a fourth-generation artist continuing a family legacy of visual and performance art. He studied painting at an art college, graduating in 2016, and has been active in the art world ever since.
Raised in a creative household, ARVY began his artistic path in childhood while assisting his father — painter, illusionist and performer Arvydas Gaičiūnas ( Retne ), co-founder of Magic Theater DiArchy. This early exposure to both visual art and stage performance shaped his distinctive, theatrical sensibility.
ARVY’s work is eclectic and emotionally charged, blending elements of contemporary expressionism, symbolism, street energy, and poetic abstraction. His pieces explore contrasts — chaos and harmony, intuition and control — reflecting the pulse of modern life through vivid color and raw gesture.
He has exhibited internationally and his works are held in private collections across Europe. Beyond painting, ARVY is also known for his creative versatility as a musician and digital creator, bringing the same intensity and imagination to sound, movement, and image.
Thank you for considering ARVY’s work. This portrait is sure to be a standout addition to any collection of modern or contemporary art!
