Original McLeod Strand electric Theatre spotlight with vintage tripod. Model Patt 23 by the Strand Lighting company of Covent Garden, London in the 1950s. Made of die cast aluminium. The clips and fastenings are brass. Lovingly restored to this highly polished mirror finish by a specialist restorer. These lamps were used all over London Theatre Land. The spotlight beam can be widened or tightened with the extended 'nose' or tube that made this lamp the lamp of drama.
