This set includes Shaka Nyorai, the historical Buddha, seated on an octagonal lotus base, symbolizing purity and the transcendence over materialism. Amitabha, or Amida, identified by his meditative gesture (Samadhi Mudra), is depicted on a hexagonal base, which is emblematic of his Pure Land of peace and bliss. His halo, designed with Karakusa openwork, signifies longevity and prosperity, echoing desires for an enduring and flourishing life. The Shaka Nyorai figure, known as the “Sage of the Shakyas,” is revered as the enlightened teacher. His Karakusa halo is a testament to the spreading branches of Buddhism's wisdom. Both aureoles are masterfully crafted, displaying the delicate and intricate technique of openwork, which adds to their spiritual and artistic significance. Despite their age, both statues have preserved their majestic aura. Shaka Nyorai's halo and base exhibit some spots, indicative of the statues' historical journey. Minor wear and accumulation of dust are present, yet they do not detract from the statues' overall grace and dignity. Overall Dimensions of Seated Statue: approx. H 26.5 cm W 11.5 cm L 8.5 cm ・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid. ・We make every effort to accurately represent the product's colors and textures in our photos.
