2 embossed brass decorative plates (probably handmade in Indonesia or India), with scenes that appear inspired by wayang kulit (shadow theater in Java, Indonesia).
Material: Brass, with a light patina and natural gilding. The technique used is engraving/embossing, with stylized human figures surrounded by floral and geometric motifs. These are decorative, not utilitarian, wall plates (they have a hook for hanging).
The estimated date is mid-20th century (1950–1970).
The diameter of both plates is 21 cm and 13 cm respectively, and they weigh 897 grams and 276 grams.
These objects are very typical of Indonesia (Java/Bali), where they were made as tourist and export objects.
They require cleaning but are in very good condition.
