A schist fish shaped dish from the ancient Gandhara culture.
1st Millennium AD.
In good condition. It has been cleaned , but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient, hand, cutting and carving. Traces of use and age on its surface. Two small missing parts.
Purchased 1994 by Dr. Zelnik in Strasbourg on the local art market.
